The Dorothy Day House of Hospitality

Family Fun Ride--Families Riding for Families--March 27, 2010

Join us on the morning of March 27th, for a bike ride with other families and riders, to raise money to help homeless families stay together and regain their independence. 

Check In:  9:00 AM to 10 AM at the Levitt Shell

Bike Riding:  10-11:30 on the backroads in the forest.

Lunch and Entertainment:  11:30 - 1:00 back at the Levitt Shell

Pre Register by March 20th and recieve a gift bag and T-Shirt. 

All riders must wear their own helmet, and ride their own bike.  A liability waiver will have to be signed by all riders during check in.

Rooted in the tradition of the Gospels and inspired by the vision and passion of Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker Movement, the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality provides temporary housing and support services for homeless families in Memphis, TN. Working with other local agencies, staff members and volunteers provide families in need with a safe environment and the means to re-establish their independence. All guests are welcomed as Christ with no discrimination

 

The Dorothy Day House of Hospitality accepts intact families with children of all ages. Throughout their stay, families are assisted with:

  • Prospective job contacts
  • Transportation Assistance
  • Referrals for child care
  • Financial and budgeting advice
  • Personal counseling
  • Advocacy and mentoring
